I thought I would start our conversation today with a question.

“Why don’t you become an activist?”

Why?

Well I have been doing a lot of research into why people decide to become different/take a new course of action. If you follow someone’s history there is often a definitive point in time when they have simply decided to start doing something differently. Perhaps they have decided to quit their safe 9-5 career in pursuit of a dream or maybe a chance of fate dramatically changed their direction. Whatever their reason, chances are if they have reached dizzying heights then they have become an activist of their own cause.

What do you vigorously campaign about? Perhaps its an idea that is currently confined to the thoughts inside your head. What would happen if you started talking about your idea? First to your family, then to a stranger. Would you be committed to the conversation or are you frightened of what others might say or do or think about you?

What if your thoughts could bring about political or social change? Would you be inclined to talk about them?

Could you imagine becoming an activist for your greatest passion. Imagine if you did? What type of life would you be living?

The most powerful, passionate and successful people that I know are activists for their cause. They believe with 100% certainty that they have been put on the earth for a reason and it is their life’s work to act on that passion. They are risk takers and protagonists. They are game changers and we chronicle their thoughts and actions and learn from them. Some of us are even inspired by them. But all of them share they same unique characteristic; they are all activists.

I invite you to play with the idea of becoming an activist. It just might be the day you decide to start discovering your uniqueness.

Remember “Be YOURSELF because everybody else is Taken”.
