As the countdown approaches for the 1st April release of The Bark Cutters, I keep reminding myself that there is the small matter of a sequel due for completion mid-July. It is exciting to revisit The Bark Cutter’s characters and watch their lives unfold as I sit in front of my laptop trying to keep plot, characters and the world of Wangallon; past and present, all heading in the same direction. I’m 98,000 words into the sequel and am at the redrafting and refining stage. There is of course loads more work to do, however even with the time constraints, day job and the book tour sitting like an icy glass of water on a heat held day, few things compare to returning to the characters that stride the world that begins in The Bark Cutters.
